Hi to you too dear:) I’m in a firm belief that AB had planned something very different for Eric and Sookie. Maybe not a HEA but something deeper and more meaningful. This is not just wishful thinking. All the symbolism, clues, hints and etc. pointed to that direction up till S5 finale. After that everything changed :(
Correction: she staked Bill. (Sorry for the typos)
Isnt it jus the saddest thing ever!? How could they just waste this perfect and deep love story! I WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS!
This is pure speculation on my part, but I think something happened with Mark Hudis. Alan Ball left the show in his hands, but then he left the show completely while filming episode 2. I’ve read it had something to do with them being over budget, but it sounds like there was more involved. Buckner took over and, according to Rob Krazinsky, who played Warlow, decided to take the storyline in a completely different direction. I think that’s why things started going to shit about that time, from Sookie being a former badass at the beginning of the season, tricking Warlow into revealing himself, to straddling his dumb ass in the cemetery and considering letting him turn her. Plus, lots of the old writers left, too, which makes me wonder if Buckner orchestrated some kind of upheaval so he could have control of the show.
This all very conspirator lol but I think yes, something changed along the line because before season 5/6 things were heading to another direction or Im too stupid to get what show runners want to tell me! I heard also that the actors interfered but I try to think its all just gossip.
I agree. And it was such a waste as the Warlow storyline had such potential. I loved reading just how Hudis involved Rob K. in coming up with just what the limitations of that character were, that he could become a father and was able to daywalk. Add to that a contract that meant Sookie would be his, all the lines about becoming “one”, and look back at what Eric said in season 4 about the same thing. There was so much potential that was just left and replaced by Billith sitting in his house, doing nothing and Warlow doing the same in the fae-cemetery. So many opportunities just abandoned and replaced by nothing.
